At Dawning Family Services, we provide hope, stability, and a path forward. As a trusted Tampa Bay nonprofit, we support families experiencing homelessness or housing instability through a continuum of care rooted in dignity, empathy, and action.

Family Homeless Prevention

Helping families stay housed before a crisis occurs. Our Prevention program supports households experiencing early signs of housing instability by addressing financial challenges, resolving situational barriers, and connecting them to community resources. By intervening early, we reduce the likelihood of families experiencing homelessness and promote long-term housing stability.

Emergency Shelter

Providing support when families need it most. This program offers safe, temporary shelter along with personalized case management, housing navigation, and ongoing support beyond shelter. We work alongside each family to stabilize their situation, meet urgent needs, and create a clear path toward permanent housing.

Rapid Rehousing

Helping families quickly move from homelessness into stable housing. Through housing navigation, financial assistance, and individualized support, we remove barriers that can delay a return to housing. Our goal is not only to help families secure housing, but to ensure they have the support needed to maintain it.

Work For Success

Building pathways to long-term independence. This program helps adults prepare for, secure, and maintain meaningful employment through job readiness training, placement support, and skill development. By strengthening income stability, families are better positioned to maintain housing and achieve lasting self-sufficiency.
