Founded in 1981 as Alpha House of Tampa, we began by offering shelter and support to pregnant women and mothers with young children.

As the needs of our community evolved, so did we. 

In 2018 expanded our mission to support all families with children are experiencing homelessness or at risk of it.

We proudly serve all modern families with minor children including single mothers, single fathers, couples, multi-generational parents, and LGBTQ+ parents. 

Along with the expansion of our mission, came a new name and logo from Alpha House of Tampa to Dawning Family Services.
